This video is all about phthalates — a word that is really difficult to spell and pronounce. But phthalates are important for us to know about since they can have a big impact on our endocrine system. Studies have linked them to hormone changes, lower sperm count, less mobile sperm, birth defects in the male reproductive system, obesity, diabetes and thyroid irregularities.

Phthalates are practically everywhere, but some of the most common places you can find them include plastic food and beverage containers, plastic wrap, perfumes, nail polish, toys, and hidden under the term “fragrance” in personal care and household products.
